The Ride

Well, I just got home from work
Don't you know I'm beat
I musta done my job ok
cause I'm asleep on my feet
My honey just met me at the door
with my favorite drink
I believe I've got today made
Don't ya think.

Tomorrow will probably be
Just about the same
I work for a living
Just to fee the flame
My wife she takes good care of me
at home
We're friends, partners, lovers
and never alone.

When Friday comes round
I'll start my weekend, you know
We'll probably hit a few joints
and take in a show.
When the weekend's all over
and we're sleepin' side by side
We'll hold on to each other
and know... it's been a good ride
